On April 19, the day of the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the concert by the Polish-Israeli Youth Symphonic Orchestra „Memory and Future” took place in the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera. We are happy to present the documentary which tells the story of the Orchestra, its first rehearsals and the relations between Polish and Israeli artists. The documentaty was screened by the AUTOGRAF studio.
The video „City behind the Wall” by Karolina fender Noińska // jajkofilm consists of the archival photographs showing the Warsaw Ghetto prisoners. The video is illustrated by verses from the poem “Rzeczy” (“Things”) by Własyszław Szlengel, “the poet of the Warsaw Ghetto” who was killed by the German Nazis in May 1943.
