Workshops “The 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising”

Making of a poster by the youth with the most important events concerning the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising (participants in the activity will be introduced to the subject beforehand). Various elements will be used to create the poster: illustrations, text, hand-drawings, etc. The completed poster will be displayed in the library as a small exhibition.

Listening to recorded testimonies (made available, among others, by the POLIN Museum) of witnesses to those days (often recalled by older people who were children in the Ghetto, e.g. Ms Krystyna Budnicka).

Reading excerpts from books from the series “Wojny dorosłych – historie dzieci” [Adult Wars – Children’s Stories] on the Children of the Holocaust: “Mała wojna” [The Little War], “Pan Apoteker” [Mr Apoteker] by K. Ryrych, “Ostatnie piętro” [The Top Floor] by I. Landau, “Wszystkie moje mamy” [All of My Mums] by R. Piątkowska, “Listy w butelce” [Lists in a Bottle] by A. Czerwińska – Rydel, “Bezsenność Jutki” [Jutka’s Insomnia] by D. Combrzyńska – Nogala.

Drawing the attention of the youth to the activities of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum. Getting them interested in its mission and activities.

Stationary activity. Classes dedicated to students from primary schools after prior sign-up (organised groups).
